Certified Guest Service Professionals (CGSPs)

Recognized worldwide, the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute's (AHLEI) Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) designation is the acknowledgment of award-winning guest service for employees in the hospitality industry.

Exam Eligibility Requirements*

• All participants must attend the modules:
  • First, out guest basics
  • Do you hear what I see?
  • If you think you can, you can!
  • Resolving less than perfect situations
  • Let's look inside
  • The icing on the cake

• Managers and supervisors must also attend:
  • Make the training stick!

• Exam cost is $35.

AHLA Educational Institute’s Certified Guest Service Professional Exam (CGSP) is a proctored exam. Successful graduates will receive a certificate and CGSP gold lapel pin to be worn on their uniform in recognition of their knowledge and skills in guest service. AHLEI offers one retake for a nominal fee.

*NOTE: Bridging Generations I is not required to take the Certified Guest Service Professional Examination.
